T&P Drain Line

This temperature and pressure relief valve (T&P) has the drain line reduced. The T&P drain line diameter must not be less than the diameter of the valve.

Roof Jacks

Deteriorated rubber gasket at roof jacks allow water into the attic and usually into the wall cavities.

Swimming Pool Danger

Here is a common defect that I find. Attic drop down stairs require fasteners in holes provided at the corner brackets and the hinge pivot plates. These fasteners must be 16d nails or 1/4x3 lag screws. Drywall or wood screws are not permitted.
